Multi-Channel Accounting

Your books live
inside Shopify.

KovaBooks is a Shopify app not a connector — orders, costs and payouts become real books where they already live.

Everything is included

Every feature at every price. What you pay scales with channels and volume — never with features.

Reconciles every sales channel — Shopify, Amazon, and beyond — fees, tax, and refunds broken out automatically
Customer invoices raised on fulfillment
Bank feeds via Plaid, with opening balances
Categorize bank transactions with reusable rules
Accounts receivable and invoicing
Accounts payable, bills and vendors
Chart of accounts, journal entries and account ledgers
Reports — profit & loss, balance sheet, cash position
QuickBooks
Your books were never meant to live in just one tool. Export a clean general ledger and trial balance straight to QuickBooks Desktop, or as CSV for QuickBooks Online, Xero, or your bookkeeper's spreadsheet of choice. Read-only — it never touches what's already posted, it just hands it off.
Accrual-first accounting, not cash-basis approximation
Immutable, append-only ledger — entries are never edited in place
Every entry balances, enforced by the database itself

Common questions

Three things: a $14.95/month base for the platform, $20/month for each additional sales channel you connect beyond the first, and a per-order charge that gets cheaper as your volume grows. There are no plans to choose between and no feature tiers — move the slider above and you see your actual estimated bill.
No. Every customer gets the complete KovaBooks accounting platform regardless of what they pay. You pay more because we are processing more channels and more volume for you — never because a feature is held back. There is no upgrade that unlocks functionality.
No. Cancel anytime from your Shopify admin, and billing stops at the end of the current period. There are no long-term contracts and nothing to negotiate to leave.
One order that produces a posted sales document — a Shopify order becoming an invoice in your books. Bank feed transactions, journal entries, vendor bills, payouts and settlement reconciliation do not count, however many of them you process. Neither do draft orders, test orders, or edits and refunds against an order you have already been billed for; an order that you edit three times is still one order.
Your channel revenue is recognised in the ledger as orders come in, and the deposit that channel sends to your bank arrives in your Plaid feed. KovaBooks clears that deposit against the ledger, so the money in your bank and the revenue in your books are the same set of entries rather than two numbers you compare by hand. Refunds reverse the original entry rather than being netted off somewhere else, so the trail stays intact.
Yes, and a dedicated accountant export for QuickBooks is on the way. Today your chart of accounts, account ledgers and reports are all exportable, so nothing is trapped in KovaBooks — and the QuickBooks-format export is in build, so your accountant will be able to take the books straight into the tool they already use.
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately and Shopify prorates the difference on your next bill. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period, so you keep the higher limits until then.
Your subscription starts on the plan you selected, and the monthly fee begins from that point. Cancelling before the trial ends means the subscription never starts. You can see exactly what has accrued at any time on your Shopify billing page.
Your ledger stays intact and exportable. KovaBooks stops syncing new transactions, but your chart of accounts, journal history, and reports remain available to export until you uninstall the app.
No. KovaBooks is the ledger — it is not a sync layer that pushes into another accounting product. Your chart of accounts, journals, and financial statements all live here.
Through Shopify. The charge appears on your regular Shopify invoice alongside your other app subscriptions, so there is no separate card to manage and no separate receipt to chase.
